Your joints felt this good and you slept like a baby? With this workshop, we’ll try to give you a little sliver of what both of these things used to be like.
We all know about our joints. They are the areas where two bones are attached for the purpose of letting your body parts move freely. In a joint, these two bones don’t directly contact each other. They’re attached with cartilage and lubricated with fluid that cushions their movement, makes it smooth, and pain free.
As we age, joints naturally deteriorate, especially with certain disease processes or injuries. With this, joint movement becomes stiffer and less flexible. This is because the amount of lubricating fluid inside your joints decreases and the cartilage becomes thinner. Although this aging process is normal, it doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything to help it.
In this workshop, we’ll get the body warmed and the mind cooled, to set you up for a peaceful night’s rest.
The first hour, Lesli Kotloski of Health Thru Yoga, will guide you through a yoga sequence designed to support joint health and flexibility. This unique class is great for those with arthritis, joint issues or those who just want to keep their bodies strong and limber. This class is suitable to everyone.
The second hour, Lesli will guide you through a Yoga Nidra meditation for sleep while Kristen Happe, L.Ac., gives you either, an acupuncture treatment for a joint that is bothering you or a treatment for restful sleep.
What to know and bring:
Please wear yoga clothes that we can roll up to your knees and elbows for your acupuncture treatment. Please also bring your yoga mats and water bottles to stay well hydrated.
